 
A Horticulture graduate from Cal Poly, Pomona, Steve became a Certified Arborist and a landscape contractor shortly after graduating.
One visit to the beautiful Columbia Gorge area was all it took for Steve and Judy to make the decision to move to Hood River with their son, Philip.
Unlike other wholesale nurseries, Gorge Nursery is open and offers wholesale prices to the general public as well. While Steve and Judy run the wholesale nursery, their son, Phil operates Richter Landscape, Inc.
Phillip soon joined the family business, as Richter Landscaping, Inc., bringing his own expertise of landscape design and installation. Phil's resume is quite impressive with clients such as Google in The Dalles, Crestline Construction and both Columbia Gorge Community College campuses in Hood River and The Dalles.
